Hi,

Can you let me know what link you are using to download YEmote3+ ? and or what page the link is on :)

Latest version compatibility is talked about here:

I'm interested in hearing what features people are most interested in when they download..

Hi,

I want to gather some information about what features people use/want to use before I release a version compatible with v7.

If you just want the smileys then you can get YEmoteLE for free:

http://www.andy.w2s.co.uk/yahoo/downloads/YEmoteLE.msi

This should work correctly with v7

i just discovered after downloading yemote3+, on installation i am getting an error "its not a valid installation package"..please check Andy!!

moreoever, there is no "adult smileys" in yemoteLE.

also, i downloaded yahoo v6 and UNinstalled the latest version of yahoo from my system. i was disppointed by the fact that yemote2+ doesnt work with yahoo v6 even!!

i simply hope u will lauch v7 compatible yemote3+

Hi,

The download for YEmote3+ is:

http://www.andy.w2s.co.uk/yahoo/downloads/YEmote3+.msi

I would try deleting the download you have and try downloading again incase it did not complete correctly.

Andy, seems i have become a tester for your application :-)

i downloaded yemote3+ from the link you gave me in your last reply. But during installation of the same, its failing to register a dll ywcvwr.dll. HRESULT -2147024770.

Please release it perfectlty once for all (for yahoo v7 also) :-(

Hi,

Many thanks for reporting back your experience :?

This is a known error:

http://www.andy.w2s.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=648&highlight=ywcvwr+dll

http://www.andy.w2s.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=650&highlight=ywcvwr+dll

It's caused by an updated version of the file released from Yahoo, it can be ignored (there will be a continue button)

Was it just the adult smileys that you were looking for? or was it any of the other features of YEmote? 8)

Andy, for a person like me I would appreciate all possible features in yemote3+ because you tend to behave or chat differently with different TYPES of friends. With few of my friends i would like to use adult smileys. while with others i may want to use ascii or hack text.

so i would suggest and at the same time request to you to incorporate all possible features in yemote!!

also, now i m using yemote3+ with yahoo v6 as u said it wont work with v7 for time being, its working fine with v6 axcept ascii. Also, when i use ascii or hack text or any of the featues other or even adult smileys with a person who having v7, it doesnt work.

doet it mean, my friend at the other end should also have v6???!!!

if all this is true please release v7 compatible yemote 3+ soooon :-)

Hi,

I've not tested v6 with v7 I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't work together very well tho.. Yahoo started updating their messenger quite regularly and each time they removed more and more features from YEmote+

A compatible version of YEmote for v7 was started but had to be put on hold due to other commitments..

Yahoo is now moving more and more towards voice.. and planned interoperability with MSN soon.. so it might just be worth sitting out and waiting for a little while longer to see what they do..
