Privacy policy

Wacky B is operated by wackyb.com in Malta. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@wackyb.com. This policy explains what happens to personal data when you read the site or contact us.

When you read Wacky B

You can read our articles without an account. We do not run analytics, advertising scripts, contact forms, comment forms, or email signup forms. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted ads.

Vercel hosts the site. Requests to our pages may create technical logs, such as an IP address, requested address, browser details, time, and error or security information. These help deliver pages, investigate faults, and protect the service. Our basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website.

The site uses AMP software served from cdn.ampproject.org. Your browser connects to that service to load the page software and sends the network information needed for the request. A search service may also serve an AMP copy through its own cache. Its handling of those requests is subject to its own privacy terms. See Google's privacy policy for its services.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not add advertising, analytics, or other nonessential cookies. Hosting and security services may use strictly necessary measures to deliver the site or prevent abuse. Your browser may cache page files. We do not use that cache to build a profile of you.

If you email us

We receive the address, message, attachments, and other details you choose to send. Our email provider processes the message to deliver and store it. We use it to answer your request, deal with corrections, and keep a necessary record of the exchange. Our basis is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence. Where a legal duty applies, we process the information to meet that duty.

Please send only what we need to help. Do not include sensitive information in a routine question. Emailing us does not sign you up to marketing.

Who may receive data

Hosting, content-delivery, security, and email providers process data needed for their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or when needed to address a legal claim or protect the service. External sites receive data under their own policies when you follow a link.

Service providers may process data outside Malta and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where a transfer needs a safeguard, the applicable provider arrangements may use approved contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism. Vercel describes its processing terms and transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum. Contact us for information about a transfer relevant to your request.

How long data is kept

We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle the matter and any related legal duty or claim. Technical logs follow the provider's retention settings and security needs. Retention depends on the purpose, the age of an unresolved issue, and any legal requirement. We do not keep a separate reader account or browsing-history database.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not make decisions about you through automated profiling.

Send a request to hello@wackyb.com. We may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the data. You may also complain to Malta's Information and Data Protection Commissioner or another supervisory authority available to you under applicable law.

Editorial identity and commercial links

Bea Ellis is Wacky B's editorial pen name. The portrait and labeled illustrations are generated artwork. AI tools assist with research, writing, and production. Editorial opinions do not imply personal ownership or hands-on testing unless an article expressly documents it.

We currently have no affiliate arrangements. If we add links that can earn a commission, we will identify them where readers encounter them and update this policy. A possible future commission does not mean a present link earns one.
